I took all three boys to value village this morning. I told Aaron I was going to take them with me and he said "Are you crazy?" But they were wiley and I needed to stop and see if they had boys size 7 jeans... incidentally, wtf... do you have any idea how many pairs of jeans the boys have ruined this year? It's like they walk on their damn knees. Between the knees ripping out and Nolan growing an inch or two in the past few months I've had to restock all of his jeans. He's in 7s and Seth is a 5. I am already formulating a plan for school shopping... I really like the old navy jeans, the slims especially. I'm going to buy for whatever size Nolan is in August, and I'm going to buy like 7 or 8 pairs of the next size up. Luckily I have a nice stash of size 6s for Seth when the time comes.
Anyway, I digress. They LOVED Value Village. Nolan yelled when we walked in "THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING!" As we were checking out, there was an older lady sitting on a bench in front of the check stand. She was fairly large and possibly borderline crazy... she took out two tops from a bag and asked the boys which one they liked better. One was a mint green monstrosity edged in lace. It had to be homemade, because I cannot fathom what store in their right mind would sell that. The other was a purple muumuu type garment with white flowers. The boys debated the shirts ... "well, I like the stuff on the bottom of the green one." (Lace) "but the purple one has flowers." They decided when we left that she should go with the green monstrosity. It was very cute, but totally funny how they were so serious about it.
