I'm on VACATION! Of course, we really don't have much going on other than laying around, playing with the kids, catching up on laundry... and all on our own schedule. Heavenly. I also have BIG plans to declutter this place. I got lots of new jammie pants for christmas, so that's the first drawer I'm going to attack. Then I'm going to go through the rest of my drawers, boxes, shelves etc. Then we'll attack the boys' toys.

If I have any energy after that I'll give Asa a haircut and declutter the pantry and storage. Exciting times around here I tell ya!

It was a tad windy when it snowed... I was highly amused at the amount of snow under the carport.

Linky Lou

VintageSeattle.Org a great site for historical photos of the Seattle Area. Love it! Blog updated by Seattleites. a great baking blog!

Some links of blogs that I have discovered recently...

It's no fun to get snow in your boot

some of the goodies we had for Aaron's family gathering. I am LOVING that buffet server set. 20 bucks at Costco, I LOVE it!

Aaron and his brother's little baby girl Seanna (See-anna). The boys were um... JEALOUS.

Seth wigged out so bad in objection to daddy holding Seanna that I had to remove him from the room completely. He became my helper in the kitchen and all was well.

So have I mentioned that Nolan and Seth have reached that amazing point of brotherhood where they enage in full body contact brawling? Luckily they aren't skilled masters in the art of fighting, but Nolan throws a mean bitch slap and Seth is working on his right hook.

The first time we saw them do this, Aaron and I were so stunned we just sort of stood there, and took it in, and then tried to stop laughing as we pulled them apart.

so happy to be outside

Stuck Stuck Stuck

Well, I tried to go into work this morning, but we have a good 2 inches of fresh snow on top of the few inches of packed snow and ice we already had. AWESOME. I spun out 3 times before I even attempted to go down our hill. So I came home and shockingly enough couldn't get the car up the driveway, so it's parked further down than normal until Aaron can go out and put chains on it.

and with that I'm off to eat breakfast.

Merry Christmas!

So even if I wanted to go in today I wouldn't have made it. We have easily over 8" of standing snow on our road and when I decided to try and go to Fred Meyers a few minutes ago, I almost made it up the short hill that leads to the road, and then promptly got stuck. I managed to get the car turned around and was going to take an alternate route, and got stuck again.

My chains broke completely off (they were old, and definitely paid their dues)... 4 kind samaritans tried to help me, and at least got me pushed to where I wasn't blocking the road... Aaron is out there now trying to figure out what to do.

The boys and I are watching Dora and my jeans are drying... I was wearing some regular shoes, as I can't find my boots (but guess what I'll be looking for this afternoon when the boys nap?) and my jeans were soaked up to mid calf snow.

I think I'll go bake some more.
Office is Closed Today

Yeehaw! I wasn't going to go in anyway, as the snow and ice are CRAZY, but it's nice not to have to use my vacation time for this.

so now I need to figure out what to do today! I am considering going up to Fred Meyers and getting a sled of some sort.

I think we are going to open our stockings today (Aaron and I) and maybe let the boys open a present... it's less stuff to cart to nana and papa's house right?
New Boots and mittens!
Since we got hit with a big storm, the boys got to open their new winter wear gifts from us early. They were VERY excited about the matching Lightning McQueen hats/mittens and boots.
