There is no friday five today, oh well. I was hoping it would be about Christmas music or something, because I heard a poll on the view yesterday about which holiday songs are the most loved and loathed. I hate hate absolutely hate the song "I saw mommy kissing santa claus" I don't know why... I just hate it. My favorite would have to be Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses... you know that's a great song.
Satchel needs a haircut, he looks like a damn hippie. Ok, well a short fat idiot republican hippie. His gross ass hair flaps in his face all the time now and is exacerbated by that annoying forehead twitch he can't seem to get a handle on.
Man, I am just not in the Christmas spirit yet... I have the lights and the tree up... but I'm not feeling it yet. I hate that... it must be because I have a lot going on, and I am not in the virtual Christmas shrine that is my mom's house... she takes down all of her knick knacks and pictures and stuff and replaces them with the holiday decorations, it looks very festive and pretty... I don't have room to do that now, someday though.
I have a final in Anthropology tomorrow... I suppose I should attempt to finish the book it's on then huh?
Sunday is the one year anniversary for Aaron and I. I can't believe it's been a whole year. He is officially the only person I've ever been in love with and also my longest relationship. Really, my only adult relationship. I tell him all the time how lucky I feel to have found him so easily... especially when I was so sure that I would end up like Aunt Glady in Home for the Holidays (If you haven't seen that movie, rent it... it's worth it.)
Basically I am still in awe of the changes in my life over the past year... so much has happened... and I am so thankful for all of it. I can't believe that in less than a year I will be Mrs. Aaron Martin. Seriously it blows my mind. I don't know what we are doing specifically for our anniversary this weekend, we discussed getting dressed up and going to a fancy dinner, so that may happen. I want to go see some Christmas lights too, but whatever it is I would be happy that it's just the two of us. :-)
Here we are on our first date a year ago, a double date with Dwayne and Lisa... oh how awkward it was. I don't think I talked to him once while we were in the restaurant.
Ben the wierdo thinks this is a comfortable way to sleep
You have to be careful around our house, because Asa lays like this in the middle of the walkway all the time. In the middle of the night, first thing in the morning... he's been kicked and damn near stepped on countless times, but he doesn't care. FREAK!
