OH LAWDY

In the interest of saving money, Aaron and I have devised a new 'entertainment' plan. Since together, we own approximately a bizillion dvds... ok, so about 300, we will take turns picking out movies to watch, then we can't watch that same movie until we've cycled through THEM ALL. This is how unexciting our lives have become. On the upside I got to choose the first movie, and I chose Almost famous. The other rule is that we have to watch it, and can't decide to go veg out in front of the tv in the bedroom simply because we loathe the movie choice. I predict some crazy good times in the near future...

anyway, not too much to report today. No big plans for the weekend. Holly is having a candle party this weekend, and I may attend. Other than that I plan to immerse myself in schoolwork and take it easy.

I am feeling better today, for some reason the ability to breathe through my nose has been bestowed and I am a happy camper. WITHOUT the use of my precious nasal spray I might add. I did use it once or twice in the middle of the night, but not since.

I keep wanting to do that 'weeks eats' meme started by Dawn but it would end up looking like this:
Sunday:Stir fry w/ rice
Monday: Stir fry w/ rice
Tuesday: chicken and noodles
Wednesday:Stir fry w/ rice
Thursday: Stir fry w/ rice

See what I mean? I guess what one coule derive from this is that I am a creature of habit. I am totally into stir fry right now, which I consider to be Weight watcher's friendly. (Anyone else on Weight Watchers, please let me know if I am doing this right.) Over 1 cup of cooked rice (4pts) I eat the following: sugar snap peas, mushroom buttons, diced zucchini, a few water chestnuts and sliced carrots. (probably everything together is 1 1/2 cups... I estimate at about 2 points.) I cook them in water, add to the water some minced garlic, a dash of minced onion from the spice rack, a dash of stir fry sauce (0points) a dash of teriyaki sauce (0 points) and a literal few drops of olive oil. Last night I added a table spoon of white wine into it too. I let this simmer all together until the water cooks off and leaves a minimal sauce with the veggies and voila. Heaven. I calcualte this to be about 6 points. The water chestnuts are listed as 1 point per cup I believe but I am not even using a quarter cup.

Anyhoo, dad and mom, if you didn't see the apprentice yet, stop reading.

...

I'm serious...

...

Ok, I was real bummed that troy got the axe last night. I would have much rather seen Kwame go, but it was nice for a change to see two people in the boardroom with zero animosity. As for Survivor I am getting a huge kick out of the fact that Boston Rob is all tore up about Amber being sent to the other team. What a puss, I'm sorry but he's all mr. Macho about 'this is a game and me and amber are having a good time, but there's only one winner' blah blah blah.. and now he's crying because his widdle girlfriend isn't on his team anymore... wah. I am glad Jeri got the boot, but seriously, Lex needs to get a damn grip and get over himself. I agree with Shii ann (sp?) about that they probably shouldn't tell people when they are going to be voted for. I mean duh.

THE FRIDAY FIVE

1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?

Let me think for a sec on this one... 9 I think mom and dad may correct me though (the apt by the firehouse is where you guys lived when I was born right? then with aunt dana, then with grandma and grandpa, then the house in south park, then myers way, then aunt nancy's, then #204, then where you are now, and my apartment...9?)

2. Which was your favorite and why?

Probably where I live now. Or when we lived at Aunt Nancy's... there because we always had connor and corey to play with, and where I live now because it's just me and Aaron and I love the peace and quiet. Though I do miss living at hi view with the rents.

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?

both, but probably more stressful in the long run.

4. What's more important, location or price?

I would say they are equal, but even if we found the perfect location the one thing that sells the place is the price.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?

two car garage with adjoining shop (with room for a car), yard, his and hers sinks in the master bath, french doors... LOTS of counter/cupboard space!

I've posted this pic before I think of Aaron (in the middle) with his brother dan and sis Brandi.

then we got this pose as well as the next one from Aaron's grandma, and I love each one as much or more than the first. I could just pinch his cheeks!

I love this family shot with Vince and Inez too.

This was taken in 93 or 94 at a summer retreat at my aunt and uncle's cabin. On the left there is Cori and to the right of her is Cassie. I would guess they are about 3 here, so that would have been the summer of 93. God. They are going to be 14 this year, do I feel old.
